Think of a subway or an underpass in Derby and you'll probably think of something like this....

A typical subway or underpass

If you live in Sinfin, you will be used to something like this around Asda, but not any more!

The subways have had a make over and look more like this...

sinfin subway

On Tuesday 12 August 2008 the Mayor will officially open the new subways. There will be loads of things happening on the day such as face painting, a bouncy castle and even a climbing wall.

Loads of people will be there too including:

  • Ram FM Black Thunders
  • Sporting Futures
  • Crime Prevention Team
  • Derby Homes
  • The Youth Service
  • Fire Service
  • Community Watch Patrol
  • Cycle Derby

It sounds like it will be a great event, so why not come along.

The whole thing kicks off at 2pm, Tuesday 12 August 2008 at the subway nearest the Library by Asda in Sinfin.
